A Day At Sea
Terminology "Spending A Day at Sea" means a full day spent cruising between two ports. Our cruises can range between a few nights to world cruises that take a lot longer, most of which include at least one "Day at Sea," sometimes more. No boring days here. These beautiful cruise ships are filled with things to do. There are shows, swimming, leisurely strolls, romantic dinners and much much more. The only limitations on having fun is you. Your days can be filled with activities from sunup to sundown or prefer to take things at a more leisurely pace, these cruises have it all for you to enjoy and can provide just the type of vacation you are looking for. There is a world of antisipation and discovery just waiting for you. Just imagine this is all for you! You get up in the morning with the sunrise to the great expectations of a spectacular day. The sun shining in your window and the emerald blue sea stretching out before you. You head to the promenade deck to the fitness director waiting to start you with a brisk morning walk or jog around the ship, or just simply stay in your beautifully appointed guestroom and place a call to room service and indulge yourself in a leisurely breakfast in bed? Then you decide to go exercise. Get dressed and you're off, quickly you begin to realize those walks around this beautiful ships are just what the doctor ordered. The breathtaking view, the fresh salt sea air, crisp and invigorating, is everything you and yours have been dreaming about since the first day you planned this. After all this you get ready to go to the formal dining room to enjoy a full-service breakfast. It's white table cloths and impeccably dressed staff, that attends to your every need for breakfast. Casual dress is all that is needed for breakfast. By now, your waiter knows you by name and has prepared your coffee just the way you like it. The main dining room is rarely more than half full for breakfast, as many passengers choose the more casual, buffet-style restaurant. What will you have to eat today? Will it be the Eggs Benedict, or have the chef whip up an omelette? Then the best part, all your meals are included in one price. Now it is time to check out the ship's daily program, which is provided for you on the previous evening. This is your guide to the world of activities and events offered onboard for that particular day. There is always something for every style and age. At pool side there are games and contests happening outside by the pool, or join an aerobics class or work out in the state of the art gym. Maybe you'll want to take in a lecture about the ports you'll be visiting, or sign up for a ballroom dancing lesson. There is more to do that even in your imagination. JUST FOR THE KIDS..... If the kids have come along, they'll will find their own adventures and schedules of activities for the day, like; treasure hunts, T-shirt decorating, and pizza parties at the Kid's Camp. The kids won't be left out of the fun at night; they may have their own dinner engagement this evening with some of their newfound friends. Later, the older kids will have a blast at the teen disco, while the little ones watch movies and eat ice cream sundaes at the kids-only slumber party! Later this afternoon, you can go to the ships beautiful duty free shops or you could play different games like bingo, or visit the art auction. Ah! Now after all this perhaps you will want to try a massage or a relaxing and revitalizing spa treatment. Or, maybe the order of the day for you is a more leisurely atmosphere. just lay back in the sun by the pool, or find a quiet spot in the library and curl up with a good book. There are cozy and private places to read on even the largest ships. Then there is evening etertainment! The cruise ship night life is just beginning. Before dinner, you may enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while having casual coversations with other guests. Single guests will enjoy meeting others who are on their own at the singles cocktail party or social. Then, enjoy a fantastic world-class meal in the main dining room, where the service and cuisine are at their bestl. The buffet restaurant is still an option for dinner too, and on many ships there are other specialty restaurants from which to choose. After dinner, head to the main show lounge for a Broadway or Vegas-style show performed by the ship's talented entertainment staff. After the show, you can sit back and enjoy the sounds of a live jazz band or chamber music in one of the ship's lounges. Karaoke Anyone! Maybe you'll amaze your new found friends with your vocal talents! Or just dance the night away to the pulsing beat of the disco. Whatever you do, don't forget the midnight buffet! After a day with all this excitement you maybe ready for that midnight stroll around the promenade to enjoy a gorgeous view of a moonlit, star sparkling, velvety purple sky.
